Busker at the Market

This is the reason I almost always have a camera with me at the Public Market.  There's always buskers down there playing for us.  They're usually pretty picturesque, too.  This guy was using a drum pedal to keep a beat on his case, which he was sitting on, pictures of which didn't turn out nearly as good as this one.

A few new Wedding Pix

I shot my first solo wedding on Saturday.  A few of my favorite shots:

This one's my favorite.  It's not the most beautiful, but it tells a heckuva story.

The happy couple shortly after getting hitched.  Her dress was really nice, and he was very comfortably dressed.

The ring-bearer was the best dressed of anyone in the wedding with the exception of the bride and the pastor.  Terrific kid.

Jollene Gavazzi and Jamie Baker

These sisters came up from the Corning area for a few photo shoots in the Rochester area.  I sure am glad they picked me for one of the shoots.  You can see why:

If you'd like to schedule a session with these ladies, let me know, I can help you make contact.

Last Weekend's Portraits

Only a couple, for now.
First, a 2-year-old who didn't want to be shot, but created a really cute shot, then a high-schooler in her prom dress, an engaged couple with a great attitude, and a grandma and her progeny's progeny.
These were only a few of the many wonderful people who passed in front of my lens this weekend.

Outdoor Portraiture (Week 2)

These are admittedly not the most avante garde images.  They're not supposed to be.  The company I shoot for for these images is pretty certain that they want mainly "traditional" portraits.  If you want something more creative, innovative, "out there" or just plain different, I will be more than happy to talk to you about doing something more "creative."

For what it's worth, these were all taken on Mothers' Day 2014.  A few of these are moms with their kids.  Mostly, the kids were spectacularly well-behaved.

Like last week, there was much sun, making shooting really tough.  Unlike last week, the wind wasn't as much of an issue (thankfully).

This young lady came in because she's newly engaged and knows she's in for much picture taking and "stuff" and just wanted to break the ice.  She was quite the natural (although some posing was, of course, necessary.)

It's Outdoor Portrait Season Again! (Week 1)

I found out, through some communication with Portrait Scene, that I was the only western NY photographer they brought back this year.  I am quite flattered, but also pleased that they noticed the hard work and quality of my images.

Week 1 - May 4 - Seneca Park
Lots of sunlight and wind.  Decidedly NOT ideal photography conditions.

Love's Secret Domain Concert 5/5/14

Shot these during the Love's Secret Domain
Thank God my new D3200 has an ISO above 6400... never would have got these any other way?
