Boulter Classic 2016 - Youth Hockey

For the third year in a row, I was the official photographer for the Boulter Classic Hockey Tournament in Webster, NY.  Thanks to the recent purchase of a Nikon 80-200 2.8 lens, the pictures were better than ever, and the people responded in kind.  I loved the kudos I got, and am still working on some follow-up orders and customer service.
Thus, the photos here represent only a tiny fraction of the shots I got, and these are only from the first weekend (of two.)  More will be added later as I get to them.

Thanx also to my father who provided back-up photography at the secondary location (Paul Louis Hockey Arena) because I still haven't mastered being in two places at once.  Thanx also have to go out to my wife who did massive heavy lifting when it came to selling my work, and my mom who filled in on the few hours my wife couldn't make it.

Thanx finally to all the wonder players, parents, relatives and coaches who participated, commented and purchased.

Now the photos:

Look what I found!

While wandering around my OneDrive today, I saw a folder I realized I hadn't looked at or used in ages.  I popped in to see what the heck was in there, and found a few Photoshops I made a while back.  I'm rather proud of how these turned out, so here they are:

3 of the 5 are Warp Tool creations (with a little help from my friend the Liquify tool and a TON o' help from the Burn and Dodge tools.)

Sunrises, Sunsets, Pretty Pretty Pictures

I've been shooting sunrises and sunsets for quite a while now.  I've recently had some opportunities to get some really nice ones.  A few for now, more at some point in the future.

4th Annual Lakeshore MItes Holiday Hockey Tournament

Fortunately, events coincided and I was available and they had a need, and I got to shoot a weekend tournament up at Lakeshore Hockey Arena in Greece, NY.
This was a much smaller tournament than the Boulter in Webster that I've shot the last 2 years.
Still got great pictures, though.
These are also in my Sports Gallery for faster retrieval later.  They can also be found in my Facebook Galleries.

More will be added soon!  (Watch this space for information on how to order pix and discs.)

New Product! Stereograms and Stereoscopes are coming!

I found myself the owner of 2 Nikon D70 bodies and 2 18-55mm kit lenses.  On our shelves of antique camera stuff resides an old stereoscope and a couple stereograms.
Inspiration struck, and I decided I should try to make stereograms myself.

I devised a bracket to hold the cameras side-by-side and created a template to lay the pix into.

I've been shooting stereogram shots for the last couple weeks and putting together the results.  So far, I have 2 sets of 5 and a couple random ones.  I will be selling them through my Etsy store as soon as I get the lenses figured out for my home-made stereoscopes (I want to be able to offer viewers for sale or as incentives.)

Below is the first set of 5 I put together.  It's Main Street, Fairport, NY less than 2 weeks before Christmas.

Mrs. Skannotto - Buta Pub Friday, November 20, 2015

This was my second Mrs. Skannotto show, and it was every bit as terrific as the first one.  I love ska, and there ain't enough around.  That these guys are local-based, but national and still carrying the torch makes me very pleased.  If you get a chance to see them, you should.

The Sexy Teenagers, Friday, November 20, 2015 at Buta Pub

These guys are some terrifically energetic punk rockers.  This was the second time I've seen them, and they're entertaining as all get out.  If you aren't easily offended and enjoy punk, go see The Sexy Teenagers wherever you can.
